2009/10 holds many opportunities for us all to increase and share our knowledge as we focus in on programme management as our overall theme for the period through to March 2010.

Our branch membership now stands at around 840 individual members and 15 corporate members though we of course host many more whose HQ lies within other APM regions.

We generally meet on the 2nd Tuesday of alternate months (January, March, May, July, September & November) at the Holiday Inn, Eastleigh though we also have some exciting 'alternative' evening events at other venues e.g. Bournemouth University, RNLI Poole and the MoD airfield at Boscombe Down near Salisbury! Perhaps you work for a company who might like to host us for a ‘special’ event? If so please do contact us.

Really good news as well is that we are now holding quarterly meeting in the Channel Islands, the first couple of which have been well attended and received.
For our main events we usually start around 6.15pm with a networking supper providing everyone a chance to wind down after work and have a relaxed chat before the main event starts at 7.15pm. This is usually a talk on a subject of interest to the local members. We aim to be finished by 9.00pm. Topics that are scheduled to be covered include ProgM SIG, MSP accreditations, Contracts & Procurement, M27 road widening scheme, South West Trains Desiro, Programme risk management and the second running of Universities Challenge
Remember that the majority of these regular events are FREE to all so why not bring a friend along and have a great evening eating, drinking, networking, learning and sharing. We look forward to seeing you . . . and a friend.
